I don’t know why it never occurred to me to post the events I do for 944. For those of you who don’t know I have been working at 944 Magazine for the past 3 years. 944 Magazine is a local fashion, entertainment and lifestyle publication in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Orange County, Miami, San Diego, San Francisco, Atlanta and Detroit. If you live in or visiting one of those cities, find a distribution location and pick the free publication to see what’s going on in that city.
My event on Saturday night was the October issue release party at Gallery Aka/ Disconnected Salon in North Park. The 944 October Issue Release party marked the opening night of San Diego’s first 944 inspired art exhibition featuring commissioned pieces by various local artists using 944 Magazine as primary inspiration for all pieces. The exhibition pieces hung on the walls of the venue, which owned by Gallery Aka. We mingled on the floor space, which is owned by the high-end salon, Disconnected, with a bar in the middle! So if you need a haircut, want to enjoy some art and get a drink, you can do it all at once.
The event was super fun with food provided by Urban bar and grill and hosted drink by Patron and Ultimat Vodka. I was especially excited to go see the magazine because I was featured in it!
