Jenny and Franks UP themed Engagement Session

I am so excited for Jenny and Franks wedding tomorrow! As I am getting ready for the wedding, getting timelines in order, charging batteries, cleaning lenses, etc., I realized I haven’t even blogged their engagement session! So here goes!

Jenny and Franks UP themed Engagement Shoot by Bethann Greenberg Photography from Bethann Greenberg on Vimeo.

I knew I would love Jenny the moment she emailed me. Her bubbly personality came through immediately. She was excited about her wedding and excited to work with me, I felt honored! If she didn’t live across the country, I felt like we would hang out on a regular basis. She just has one of those personalities people are drawn towards.

Jenny initially told me about her idea for their engagement session. She told me Hers and Franks favorite movie was UP and they wanted to create a stylized session based on that. It was adorable! She didn’t miss a single detail. Franks sport coat, the balloons, the mailbox, the grape soda, she even had someone make her a quilt, and it was perfe0001san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0002san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0003san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0004san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0005san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0006san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0007san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0008san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0009san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0010san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0011san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot 0012san diego wedding photographer Bethann Greenberg photography poway lake up themed shoot

Baby Noah Newborn Session 10 Days Old

Baby N Newborn Session 10 days old Bethann Greenberg Photography from Bethann Greenberg on Vimeo.

I was so glad to spend another session with Hazel and Ed. I photographed their engagement session a couple years back. They got married out in Asia and while I was bummed I coudn’t be apart of their blessed day, I was honored they came back to me document another very important moment in their life, their adorable son Noah’s first portraits. I had so much fun molding this guy during his newborn session. He was a dream to work with. Check out his newborn session below and a sweet little note from Momma!0001Noah Newborn San Diego Newborn Photographer Newborn Portraits Newborn Photography0002Noah Newborn San Diego Newborn Photographer Newborn Portraits Newborn Photography

From the client:

Bethann does an amazing job! We love all our photos that she took of us- from our engagement photos and my son’s newborn pictures. Even though we had a different photographer for our wedding (got married overseas and photog came with the venue), we still incorporated a lot of Bethann’s work in our wedding. We feel very comfortable working with her and I just love how all our pictures turned out. Looking forward to my son’s smash cake session!

My dearest Noah

Thank you for bringing me so much joy. From the time you were in my belly, I longed for the day to that I get to hold you and kiss you. Now that you are here, one kiss, one hug is never enough! I love all the little noises you make. I love it when you wrap your little hands around my fingers, that crinkle in your nose that you make when you smile, oh that smile! That toothless smile melts my heart every time. I can’t wait for all the adventures we’ll get to do together. Although you are still so young, I already try to imagine the man that you will grow up to be. I know eventually you will have to go do adventures on your own, but no matter how long the years pass and how grown up you become, I will always be here for you. I will always be mom.

Baby Shiloh’s Newborn Session

I was honored to have photographed Baby Shiloh in her first, of many, portraits. Getting to captures these little peanuts during this stage in their life, during a newborn session, is something i am so blessed to be trusted with.

I have known Brittany, the person Baby Shiloh refers to as mom for years! Around San Diego she is known as a few things; the ever talented make up artist behind Brides By Brittany as well as our very own Miss California! Spending time with Brittany and getting to know her on a deeper level  (B and I went to the same high school…10 years ago),  has been an honor. She is a sweet friend, a Godly women and an amazing mother! I am lucky to call Brittany a friend!

Little S is following in her mamas footsteps. Maybe we have a future Miss USA here!

“My sweet Shiloh Grace,
Six Months.  Half a year.  It’s a blink of an eye.
I think back to where we were six months ago and my eyes fill up remembering those first sacred hours:  The way my heart exploded into a million pieces when I first touched you.  The indescribable feeling of you lying on my chest as you took your first miraculous breath.  Your soft, sweet coo as your eyes met your daddy.  Watching your tiny chest rise and fall in perfect rhythm as you slept in my arms and thanking God for his gift of your life.  Nursing you the first time and being overcome with an unbreakable love for you.  Gazing on as your daddy rocked you tenderly next to my bed and seeing his blue eyes well up with sweet tears over you.  I remember barely sleeping that first night because I didn’t want to take my eyes off of you.

I remember six months ago like it was yesterday and I am amazed at how quickly that yesterday became half a year ago.
I remember thinking that first night, as I cupped your perfectly round head and held your precious little hand, that I couldn’t love you any more than I did right then.  And here I sit in a spit-up stained sweater and my hair that hasn’t been washed since last Friday piled atop my head, cold coffee next to a mile long to-do list and you resting perfectly, beautifully in my arms, and I think… it can’t get any better than this.  I can’t possibly love you any more than I do right now.

You have made my heart know love deeper, higher, wider and more purely than I ever knew existed and I am so thankful God chose me to be your momma.  I am so lucky.

Happy first half-birthday my sweet little wonder. I love you.

Thank-you, Bethann, for capturing Shiloh’s beginning so perfectly.  Not a day goes by that I don’t pass one of those framed photos in our home without stopping to wonder at how tiny she was not too long ago.  It’s so easy to get lost in the blur of all the changes that take place so quickly and having those precious images is a constant reminder of where it all started.  You are absolutely amazing at what you do and gave us the most amazing gift in capturing her precious beginning so perfectly.  Thank-you!”

Addison – Class of 2014 Senior Portraits

Your senior year of high school can be such a fun time. But between SATs, applying for college, waiting to hear back from those colleges, and prom, you can be quite busy. And lets not forget your senior portraits! Among some of the stressful points in your senior year, this is a chance to have fun and relax a bit!

Photographing Addison’s senior portraits was so much fun. I first have to mention that I knew Addison when he and his family first moved to San Diego and started attending the same church my family attended, which was at least 12 years ago. He was so much younger then and when I saw him on the day of his high school senior portraits I couldn’t believe it was the same little kid. So grown up and mature.

I met Addison and his mom at Los Penasquitos Canyon, one of my go to spots to shoot. I love shooting in nature, not only does the golden grass reflect so nicely onto your skin, but it is just such a peaceful place to be. And since they were looking for a rustic location for his high school senior portraits, I thought it would be perfect. Addison had a big smile on his face that made it easy to shoot and even though he is such a fun, spunky guy, he has a great serious look too.  We started out in a big grassy area with a more casual look. We talked about his senior year, his excitement for the upcoming homecoming and his adorable girlfriend, whose homecoming he had just gone to. I came to see that Addison isn’t the little kid I met him as, but is a strong Christian man who is witty and hilarious. We then finished up with an outfit and location change. I am so honored to have photographed him in his senior year!
